Bio

Peddlers of apocalypse anxiety through a gnarly trill of guitar and synth.

Drawing from the grit of social realist writers of crisis and change, us four compañeros are trying to make sense of the fractured intensity of modern life.

We don’t do songs about unrequited love or plunge into the self-obsession of minor narcissisms. No wistful romance, no solipsistic spirals, no power ballads. Just socially-driven, self-deprecating songs about the grey and enigmatic zones of the everyday in our port city of Portsmouth. The result is something wonkily melodious.

We've played at the TGBB Festival in Paris, at The Garibaldi Hotel in Northampton, as well as in the south coast's cherished venues of The Wedgewood Rooms, neu waves (Art Deco), The Joiners, Heartbreakers, and The Railway.

We try to resist easy categorisation but comments by gig-goers point to elements of early Magazine, Gang of Four, Wire, and early Roxy.

If you like our tracks, you can listen for free on Bandcamp (or grab a track for less than a packet of crisps in the pub). For streaming, we're on all the major platforms including Spotify (for now), but would probably recommend Tidal.
